March 2006

3/24/06 - Ah, Friday! Another week of work and very little shooting or printing. I swear this weekend I get in some of both. Been doing more work on Stacey's website and concentrating on getting her more links and more traffic to her website.

3/21/06 - Yes, Im still around. Call off the search parites! Just been kinda busy with other stuff. Just bought some Rodinal and some Fuji Neopan 400 to try something different for a change. As always Im waiting for the warmer weather and longer days so I can go shooting after work. My favorite time of day for shooting! Other than that Im trying to get over my depression over the Patriots letting Adam, Willie and some others get away. I know I know I shouldnt get so wrapped up in it, as we say around here, "in Bill(Belichick) we trust!" It still sucks!

3/13/06 - We just got back from a night in Newport. I took today off from work since I really havent had a day off since Jan 2005. More days off to come. ....Um, my cat just jumped right over my head from the top of my chair. She really should warn me before she does that! ...I managed to find my two old Watson bulk loaders, so Ive laoded a big roll of TriX and Im off to roll a few cassettes and go shoot for a little while.

3/5/06 - Here is an online version of The Bresson Book, The Decisive Moment . Some images of his I hadn't seen before.

3/4/06 -Here are some photos from my tests with my Jupiter 8 lens. Im pretty happy actually, these are straight neg scans with no photoshop other than fixing a few dust spots.

------------------------------------

11:45am / Ok, second roll using my "new" Jupiter 8 lens(50mm f2) on my Bessa R is a success. Negs are washing now, but look sharp and well exposed. Just got my set of spotting pens from Adorama yesterday, so I need to spot a few prints to mail out. Pics to come.

In the meantime, here is a website with some interesting stuff. They have some great photo books at discounted prices in a clearance section. I just picked up an Atget book for $13.00. Photoeye

3/3/06 - 6:50pm

So the first roll of film with my Jupiter 8 was a bust. I made an adjustment or two to it and added a lens shade. Shot another roll of film today and I'll develop it tommorrow. If it sucks, I'll try something else. Russian 50's are pretty cheap so Im not exactly devastated if its a bad one. J8's have a good reputation, but only if you get a decent one.

Crap! I just wiped out my Feb 06 page.
