11pm-So far Ive been changing the date manually each day. I just found a javascript that should change each day on its own. Also, Check out the new links I've added in the last day or so. A couple people have asked if I am concerned about my photos being "stolen" from my site. Well, not really because this isnt how I make my living and if they want an image for a screen saver or whatever, so be it. Besides they are only 72 dpi and I dont think they would get too large of a print if they want it to look halfway decent. I may add a copyright anyhow, but that's about it about that. If you see something you like just ask and I'll send you an actual print made in my darkroom.

Here's another photo, shot at the bus station. Do images always need to be tack sharp to be effective? The Conversation

9:50pm- Finished changing backgrounds to gray which I think may work out better. I like how the photos look against a more neutral background and now the photos wont be floating in space if borders dont show up on some computers. I wish I could check how it looks on every computer, but I guess at some point I need to let it go and get back to the work. I have an idea for a future gallery-Views of Providence- So you all can see this city I live in. Also, in the center of Providence there is a huge public bus terminal that is always mobbed with commuters. Terrific for shooting people who are usually too busy trying to get somewhere to worry about some guy taking photos. Here's an example. Now that it stays lighter later I can pop down there after work and do some shooting.

2pm- I dont think I'll have time to print today. I'm working on Stacey's site and am getting quite a bit done there. I did post a new Photo of the week as promised.

8am- Made a few changes to the site. I added a couple links to photographer friends of mine on the Info page. Also, changing some colors and text. Someone said they couldn't see ANY text on the home page. Some others aren't seeing borders around photos. Ack! Its all part of the creative process right? Today I'm getting back to the darkroom so check for a new photo of the Week.

9:50am-Some nice comments and suggestions about my site so far. Thank you all. Check in tomm. for a new Photo of the Week. Now to work on Staceys new site. My cat Peggy loves this website creating stuff beacause it means lots and lots of lap time for her.
3/25/04 - day 2 of new website
11:15pm- Why cant all computers see the same thing? I created a border around my photos that is white on my computer. I go to work and the computer there sees the border as Gray. My dad looks at the site and sees no border at all.(or is it black on his computer?). We'll never know. I dont want some of the photos to appear to be just hanging in space. Yet I like the black background. If you are looking at this site would you mind emailing me and letting me know what color the borders are around the photos on your computer? Thanks, it would be a big help. I know computers see things differently, but why? Can we change this? I know we can't but it would be nice. I could go to the trouble of creating a border in Photoshop but I'm not quite that motivated. Anyway, thanks for visiting, check back for new photos soon.
3/24/04- day 1 of new website!
10:30pm- Everything is functioning now. I'm sure I will tinker here and there, but for the most part Im happy with the outcome. So now I can get back to more shooting and printing. Hopefully by Sunday I'll add a new Photo of the Week. At some point I'll add more info about each photo. I need also to get back to finishing my girlfirend Stacey's new website. Here's her current site. Her new site looks totally different and should be up and running by the end of April.(we hope) On the photography front, I just bought a Konica Auto S2, it seems in pretty good shape except that the slowest shutter speeds stick. I'll get it checked out at some point, but I rarely shoot below 15/sec. I plan to try it out this weekend and see how it does. Oh yeah, did I mention the Konica cost a whopping $30? My Yashica Electro GSN cost just $50. They may not be Leicas, but for someone not in a position to go that way these rangefinders have some great lenses that are underrated. The images on this site dont do the prints justice. I know I need to improve my scanning technique, but these cameras produce some nice images.
9pm-Okay, its 9pm and Im figuring this website stuff out a bit more. Still need to fix the links in the galleries, but I know what to do now. Check back tommorrow night or friday and all should be well. Thanks for being patient.
6pm-Welcome to my website. I think its kinda messed up at the moment. I'm working on it. Hang in there.
