April 2006 I didn't decide to be a photographer; I just happened to fall into it. -Berenice Abbott
4.22.06 - This past week Stacey and I went to see a show by local photographer Erik Gould who is doing a project which involves photographing the neighborhoods of Providence with an 8x10 camera. Here is a link to the images he has posted on Flicker. Providence Project - also, check out the link from there to his community walk map. Its an interactive aerial map which shows you the location of each photo in the series. As usual when I see a show like this I start to think about my own work and what Im doing with it. Am I really serious about it or is it simply a part time hobby. Where do I want it go, or do I? Do I need to start an ongoing project or just keep shooting randomly, which I do enjoy. I got a tip from Erik that there is a show at Brown University right now which includes Walker Evans, Winogrand, Berenice Abbott and more so were going to go to that today. 4.17.06 - Added a new link today. Check this out. - http://www.fotografia.slp.pl/ 4/16/06 - Finally some new stuff here. Trying out Fuji Nepoan 400 and Rodinal(1:50)
4/15/06 - So today I forced myself out to shoot and once I was downtown things went pretty well. Shot 3 rolls- 2 Neopan 400 and 1 Trix. I'll have new stuff to post hopefully tomorrow. Also, I put up a new gallery on Stacey's website today. Hopefully now I can get out of this shooting rut Ive been in. 4.12.06 -
